Amazon changes storage restrictions... What impacts on Amazon FBA Sellers

Since the beginning of 2021, Amazon has imposed storage limits on marketplace sellers, whether you are a seller just starting out with your first Private Label products, or you are an experienced seller with tens of thousands of items stored in Amazon FBA warehouses.
What are the solutions to Amazon FBA storage limitations ?
To adapt to these constraints which will continue in 2022, you have several solutions:
- Manage a buffer stock at home if you are lucky enough to have a large garage, and regularly replenish your Amazon stock according to your sales rate.
- Call on a 3 PL logistician like Dock Avenue and entrust them with the management of your buffer stock
Buffer stock management by Dock Avenue
Dock Avenue’s buffer stock management has several aspects and adapts to your needs:
- Receipt of your goods
- Recognition of your products
- Product control (optional)
- Entry into stock
- Storage
- Partial reshipment of goods within 24/48 hours to the Amazon FBA warehouse assigned to you for your products (shipping in Master Cartons via UPS for example or in full pallets with the Amazon carrier you have appointed)
- Regular replenishment of your FR/ UK, PANEUROPEEN, USA stocks…
Our experience with Amazon sellers
Since the Covid, the closure of Amazon’s French warehouses, then the implementation of Amazon’s new storage limitations (2021), we have developed this 100% E-commerce 3 PL logistics activity and services dedicated specifically to Amazon sellers.
We collaborate with members of the main Amazon seller communities based in France, including Amazon seller groups specializing in the following areas :
- Product sourcing – Import
- Using data to develop sales on Amazon
- Launching a sales business on Amazon….

Limitations that will continue in 2022 !
We believe that these limitations will continue in 2022. We estimate that Amazon will almost force its e-merchants to have a 3 PL logistician upstream of their Fulfillment warehouses. This is already the case in the American market. Thus, any Amazon seller who becomes professional and wishes to develop their sales on Amazon will have to organize, on a sustainable basis, the management of their stocks and supplies with a logistician like DOCK AVENUE.
Furthermore, supply and transport difficulties in Asia/Europe are forcing successful sellers, or those who wish to become successful, to anticipate their orders with their suppliers but also to secure their maritime and rail transport, the costs of which have exploded. (cf. container shortages, transport costs of a 40 SQM at $15,000/17,000 in Q4 2021 , etc.). This is forcing e-commerce sellers to look for a logistics partner who can store their goods and manage a buffer stock.
